UAE flights status for August 13: Emirates, Etihad and Air Arabia services face fresh changes
Passengers heading to India advised to allow extra time for security checks
DUBAI – UAE air travel remains largely operational today, but passengers flying to parts of the Gulf should remain alert to cancellations, unavailable flight information and last-minute changes.
Emirates, Etihad Airways, Air Arabia and flydubai continue to operate much of their regional networks, although Bahrain and Kuwait services remain among the routes facing disruption. The summer travel rush is also bringing heavier passenger volumes to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah airports.
Travellers are advised to confirm their flight status before leaving home and allow additional time for airport procedures.
Etihad Airways
Etihad has cancelled flights between Abu Dhabi Zayed International Airport and Bahrain International Airport for operational reasons.
The airline's Abu Dhabi-Kuwait services remain scheduled for August 13:
- EY653: Abu Dhabi to Kuwait
- EY654: Kuwait to Abu Dhabi
Passengers affected by any changes should ensure their contact details are updated so they can receive the latest notifications from the airline.
Emirates
Emirates' latest flight information showed status unavailable for Dubai-Kuwait and Dubai-Bahrain services at the time of checking.

The airline said information for the affected routes would be available 24 hours before departure.
Emirates has also introduced flexible arrangements for Dubai-bound passengers, allowing travel dates to be changed without a fee an unlimited number of times under measures announced on August 10. Fare and tax differences may still apply.
flydubai
flydubai continues to operate flights to Kuwait, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia as scheduled.
Passengers are nevertheless being advised to check their flight status before travelling, complete online check-in where available and leave extra time for their journey to Dubai International Airport.
Air Arabia
Air Arabia continues to report cancellations and pending departures on selected services from Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
From Abu Dhabi, 3L020 to Kuwait and the return service 3L021 are cancelled. Flights 3L022 from Abu Dhabi to Kuwait, 3L015 and 3L017 to Bahrain, and 3L016 and 3L018 from Bahrain to Abu Dhabi had not departed at the time of the update.
From Sharjah, G9068 and G9124 to Kuwait are cancelled, while G9121 had not departed. The return flights G9069 and G9125 are cancelled, with G9122 yet to depart.
On the Sharjah-Bahrain route, G9107 and G9108 are cancelled. G9101, G9103 and G9105, along with G9102, G9104 and G9106, had not departed.
G9195 from Sharjah to Abha and G9196 from Abha to Sharjah had also not departed.
India travel advisory
UAE-India travel is also under added scrutiny ahead of India's Independence Day on August 15.
Air India, IndiGo and SpiceJet have advised passengers travelling during the Independence Day period to allow additional time for airport formalities and enhanced security checks.
Passengers flying to major Indian airports including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram should factor in potentially longer processing times.
International routes
International airlines continue to adjust their Middle East schedules.
British Airways has suspended flights to Dubai, Tel Aviv, Bahrain and Amman until October 25, while reducing frequencies to Doha and Riyadh. Philippine Airlines continues to suspend Dubai services until October 2.
Air France has suspended Riyadh services until August 14 and Dubai and Beirut flights until August 18.
Turkish Airlines has resumed flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, although Iran services remain suspended. Air Canada has extended its Dubai suspension until mid-January 2027, while Singapore Airlines has delayed the resumption of Dubai flights until October 24.
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency has extended its conflict-zone advisory covering Gulf airspace until August 31.
Airlines continue to monitor security developments around the Gulf, including the situation surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, where uncertainty continues to affect shipping and aviation planning.
Changes to airspace availability and security assessments can result in aircraft being rerouted, increasing journey times or prompting carriers to modify schedules.
What travellers need to know
Passengers flying from the UAE should check their airline's website or app before leaving for the airport and keep their contact details updated.
Travellers should arrive at least three hours before departure, while those flying to India during the Independence Day period should allow additional time for security checks.
Passengers should also complete online check-in where possible, keep travel documents accessible and remain prepared for schedule changes or cancellations at short notice.
